The Absence Policy was put into place to discourage swim lesson participants from failing to attend our free classes. The policy is a way for us to ensure that our lessons are being utilized by all who are registered.

All participants who fail to attend the first lesson of the session will be automatically withdrawn from the class.

During the session if an emergency or academic class conflicts with the lesson, it is the participant's responsibility to make their instructor aware and bring proper documentation.

Each unexcused absence will result in a $5.00 fee per absence to the participant.

If the participant decides that they will no longer be able to participate in the program, they MUST notify the Administrative Office at the Recreation and Wellness Center ASAP in order withdraw . Doing so will prevent any consequences due to future absences.

The Recreation and Wellness Center created this policy in hopes of making our students swim experience as positive and useful as possible!
