JOB TITLE: FITNESS ATTENDANT

JOB DUTIES:
General: To ensure a safe and helpful workout environment for the members of the Recreation and Wellness Center, as well as provide assistance to those working out.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Supervise all activities within the Fitness Center.
- Supervise occupants using the facility and ensure they are following building policies.
- Make sure all Fitness Floor equipment is in its proper place.
- Ensure Fitness Floor is clean (including wiping down equipment when necessary).
- Assist the building manager in room setups.
- Monitor multipurpose court usage.
- Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

JOB TITLE: LIFEGUARD
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
- Must have current American Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid certifications.

- Must be aware of the student/member needs.
- Must be willing to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Previous life guarding experience is preferred.
- WSI certification is preferred.
JOB DUTIES:
General: To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all members of the Recreation and Wellness Center engaging in pool use.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure the safety of yourself and co-workers.
- To ensure the safety of all patrons using the aquatics facility during hours of operation, recreation events, and special functions.
- Must staff at least 2 events per semester
- Must attend monthly meeting for lifeguard updates or staff training
- Must attend 1 in-service (4 hours) each month to maintain
knowledge of aquatic skils pertaining to Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and
First Aid.
- Must arrive 15 minutes early to every lap pool shift to complete opening procedures
- Thoroughly perform all Opening, Closing, and Maintenance duties at the Leisure pool as well as all other duties assigned.
- Perform a visual check to ensure that all safety and swimming equipment is in place.
- Always be customer service oriented and assist with programs and personnel when safe and reasonable.
- Keep pool deck clean and deck chairs straightened.
- Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

JOB TITLE: WSI INSTRUCTOR
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have current Water Safety Instructor certification
- Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.

JOB DUTIES:
General:
To instruct students on how to learn to swim using the American Red Cross guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Must check off class roster each class time to verify attendance of students
- Teach 50 minutes classes each week by following the swim lessons syllabus
- Keep Amy Tiffany informed of students who have missed classes
- Call students who miss class to verify if they are coming back to class.
- Always be customer service oriented and assist with programs and personnel when safe and reasonable.
- Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

General: To provide supervision and safety training for all climbing tower users.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist members and guests with basic knowledge of the climbing tower.
- Ensure all policies and procedures for the Recreation and Wellness Center are enforced.
- Perform all duties in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner. Keep work area clean.
- Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
- Assist in resetting routes and cleaning tower when necessary.

JOB TITLE: PERSONAL TRAINER
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must hold a personal training certification from one of the following organizations: ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NSCA or CSCS.

General: Under direct supervision, provides a comprehensive one-on-one educational fitness program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluates fitness assessment results to determine appropriate individual exercise/activity regimens.
- Determines format and content of exercise/activity program based on individual client needs.
- Plans and implements individualized exercise/activity programs for clients in such general and/or specialized areas as aerobics, stretching/flexibility training, circuit training, sports performance, or general fitness.
- Independently demonstrates and instructs clients on proper technique in standard and specialized exercise areas.
- Performs follow-up assessments to track client progress.
- Maintains complete and accurate client files.
- Ensures client adherence to safety and injury prevention techniques; prepares accident reports as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:
General: Manage all aspects of the Recreation and Wellness Center operations during open hours. Supervise on-duty student associates and all activities in the Recreation and Wellness Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the professional staff in their absence and in so doing, operate with the full authority of a full time staff member or the Lead Building Manager.
- Become familiar enough with all areas in the facility to be able to fill any position if needed.
- Complete visual inspections of facilities and equipment and reporting procedures.
- Take immediate corrective action when appropriate.
- Regulate the posting of materials in hall, bulletin board, etc.
- Make continuous safety audits of facility, equipment and personnel.
- Remain alert to building security including offices, unlocked doors, computer hardware, weight rooms, pool, and other high risk areas as well as perimeter security including mechanical rooms, gates, etc.
- Give special attention to needs such as interior/exterior lighting problems, dressing rooms and lockers, emergency exits/stairwells, plumbing and or electrical problems.
- Submit a Building Manager Report with hourly counts after each shift. Execute opening and closing procedures for the facility, including but not limited to reporting any security, maintenance or Physical Plant issues to the proper office.
- Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Creating RWC program/event flyers.
- Participation in the design of RWC program brochures and champion or special event T-Shirts.

- Updates new content provided by Program Specialist and Associate Director.
- Assists as needed in website development projects.

- Move heavy objects such as soccer goals and other equipment through out the RWC Park
